## Advisor Style & Mentorship Extremely supportvie. Kind of hands-off in experiments but any idea can be discussed and properly advised. Responsive in writing.
## Expectations for PhD Students Variable but in general pretty high. Almost all previous Ph.D. students graduated with NS sub journals. All PhD students graduated in 5 years. Very competitive to get admitted into the group.
## Funding & Support Affluent in funding. Part of the members got RA even in their first year. Until now, all students after 2nd are supported by RA. Lots of well-maintained equipment.
## Research In general good. Multi-cultural lab. The elder graduate students/postdocs will help to start.
## Lab Culture Publish a few papers in high-impact journals. Leader in 2D magnets and TMD research. Cooperated closely with other leading groups in high T SC, 2D TI, and graphene from UW physics.
